As a member of CDBG Laurie supports the creative and cooperative use of CDBG funds to better Framingham's neighborhoods, businesses and housing. While continuing to support the many wonderful organizations in town that work hard for our residents( Metrowest Outreach, ESL, Literacy, Resiliency For Life, Jobs...) Laurie has some additional ideas which include:

• Working with Framingham Housing Authority in distributing housing funds in an efficient manner

• Granting Framingham Housing Authority funds to help renovate the housing authority properties and utilize a grant matching program

• Utilizing the Best Practice " Neighborhood Block Program"  for revitalization to focus on specific areas of Framingham to beautify and encourage home ownership. Such a plan would support the goals of the 2007 Housing Plan and Policy.

• Utilizing "Best Practices" for code enforcement to assist the town in our goal of revitalization and the elimination of blight
