Economic Development Industrial Corporation
Some of the projects Laurie is involved with include:
Working on a Public Relations Campaign for Framingham.
EDIC is designing a Public Relations campaign in conjunction with the Community and Economic Development Department .EDIC members recently discussed using a brochure Laurie designed in 2007 as part of this PR campaign. Her brochure highlights the reasons people choose to live in Framingham. While no decision has been finalized ,and much work needs to be done, this brochure along with the companion website called Come Home to Framingham would promote Framingham as the wonderful and unique town it is to live in.
The concepts of this campaign include a focus on "the villages of Framingham" which contain some of the best neighborhood and best streets in Metrowest!
In addition, this campaign focuses and advertises our award winning schools, recently chosen by Forbes among the Top 20 Places to Educate your Child. We score #3!
Working with the Planning Board and Administrators reviewing the process used to obtain a permit in Framingham. Laurie is currently looking at other communities (Marlborough, Natick and Waltham) as a way to benchmark our procedures. One goal is to fine tune this process for the applicant who is seeking a permit in Framingham.
Working on relationships with Nobscot business and property owners and looking towards re-establishing Nobscot Center as the vital and dynamic center of Nobscot Village.
